Careers
Join us in discovering and building the next great company — one ambitious intern at a time!
At Alpine Vistas Capital, we're on a journey to find and grow a high-potential business in the US or Canada, with a strong commitment to employee ownership and preserving the legacy of exceptional companies. As part of our mission, we’re building a team of driven, curious, and passionate interns eager to learn, grow, and make an impact.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking talented undergraduate students (ideally in their 3rd or 4th year) and graduate students in Canada interested in a unique professional development internship (with honorarium support) to gain exposure in private equity, business analysis, and strategic growth. This role is ideal for anyone interested in pursuing a career in management consulting, private equity, investment banking, marketing, or entrepreneurship. Here’s what we’re generally looking for:
Motivated & Resourceful Individuals: Self-starters with strong research, organizational, and analytical skills.
Curious Learners: An eagerness to learn about various industries and engage in real-world business strategy and finance.
Solid Communicators & Self-Managers: People who can work independently, stay organized, and communicate effectively in a remote setting.
Logistics
Start Dates: Internships will run in cohorts beginning (i.) Dec 2024, (ii.) May 2025, (iii.) Aug 2025, and (iv.) Dec 2025. Internships may be extended for high-performing interns, with expanded responsibilities in later terms.
Workload: Expected weekly commitment is 7-15+ hours, with potential in-person meetings for those in Vancouver and Edmonton.
Compensation: The Alpine Vistas Capital Professional Development Internship with Honorarium Support is designed for students eager to gain real-world experience in investing and entrepreneurship. Interns receive an honorarium (estimated at $800-$1,000 CAD) and benefit from hands-on projects, mentorship, and career-building seminars with industry leaders, developing essential skills in industry analysis, financial modeling, and deal sourcing. Additionally, the role aligns with academic credit opportunities for students in co-op or internship programs. This unique program combines financial and educational support to foster career growth while remaining a non-hourly-compensated experience.
Additional Bonus: Interns whose efforts directly lead to Alpine Vistas’ acquisition will be eligible for a significant bonus (~$10,000 CAD).
What You’ll Be Doing
Interns at Alpine Vistas Capital will work directly with me to support every aspect of the search process. Responsibilities include:
Research & Sourcing: Identifying and analyzing attractive industries and building lists of potential acquisition targets.
Outreach & Engagement: Supporting the CEO in his engagements with business owners and brokers to learn more about potential acquisitions.
Financial Analysis & Valuation: Supporting financial modeling, valuation (e.g., EBITDA multiples, DCF), and initial due diligence efforts.
Learning & Development: Through seminars organized by Petros, interns will gain unique exposure to professionals currently working in management consulting, private equity, investment banking, tech product management, corporate strategy, and more. Sessions will feature insights from me and a network of experts across industries on how to “break in” and best prepare for these careers.
